USE & CARE
In case of high-pressure build up steam will be released through the safety vent in the rim of the lid. This product includes a Stainless Steel steamer basket to steam food under pressure without placing the food directly into the cooking liquid. For use with the steamer basket, the trivet is placed under the steamer basket to keep food out of cooking liquid. The Pressure Cooker is suitable for all hobs and it is induction friendly. The Pressure Cooker pot is dishwasher safe but the lid should be washed by hand with warm soapy water or a mild dishwashing soap. Do not use harsh abrasives as this may damage finish. To remove any stubborn stains in the interior of the Pressure Cooker, try adding juice of half a lemon and 1 to 2 cups of water to the Pressure Cooker pot. Cook at high pressure for 15 minutes and remove from heat, allow pressure to release and wash as usual.
To extend life of silicone Sealing Ring, remove after every use, wash in warm water with mild dishwashing soap, rinse and dry well and cover with a thin coat of vegetable oil before replacing. For increased safety the Sealing Ring should be replaced every 12-15 months depending on usage. Place lid upside down when storing to avoid the risk of vacuum forming during storage. Always check handles before using pressure cooker.
Refer to User Manual inside product. Do not touch hot surfaces of Pressure Cooker, use handles or knobs. Always use an oven glove. Close supervision is necessary when Pressure Cooker is used near children. Do not place Pressure Cooker on heated oven. Caution must be taken when moving Pressure Cooker containing hot liquids. Do not use Pressure Cooker for anything other than intended use. This appliance cooks under pressure, improper use may result in scalding injury. Ensure unit is properly closed before using. Do not overfill Pressure Cooker more than two thirds of its capacity. When cooking food which expands, such as rice, do not fill more than half full. Certain foods which may foam, froth and sputter should not be cooked in a Pressure Cooker. Always check release devices for clogging before use. Do not open Pressure Cooker until it has cooled and all internal pressure has been released. If handles are difficult to push apart this indicates that the cooker is still pressurized, do not force it open. Do not use Pressure Cooker for pressure frying with oil. When the normal operating pressure has been reached, turn the heat down so that all liquid which creates steam does not evaporate. Keep out of children’s reach. Never use with worn or torn Sealing Ring. Do not use on outdoor LP gas burner or commercial ranges. Do not use for medical purposes.
